Play

Where outdoor play becomes creative expression.

We create outdoor experiences where anyone can play, explore and create with music, light and colour.

There is no wrong note and no wrong way to play. Whatever your ability or confidence, you can create something beautiful.

When we create together, we find
connection with each other.

01

We measure success by the positive impact we create.

That’s why we’re a Community Interest Company (CIC). Think of it as somewhere between a business and a charity. We can earn money like a business and accept grants and donations like a charity, but any money we receive is reinvested to support the purpose we were set up for, rather than for any private gain.

02

We believe everyone should have the same opportunities to play, create, connect and belong.

That means designing for accessibility and inclusivity from the very beginning — not as an afterthought.

For us, accessibility means designing to include neurodivergent, sensory-sensitive and disabled people.

For us, inclusivity means making it possible for people to take part, whatever their income, language, background or beliefs are.

This isn’t about creating separate or specialist experiences.

Everything we do is open to all.

When more people can take part, fewer people feel left out. And when more of us are part of the experience, it becomes deeper and richer for everyone.

03

What we create.

We bring these ideas to life in two ways:

04

Outdoor Sensory Spaces

An outdoor space where people of different abilities and confidence levels can play, explore, create and connect.

We bring together outdoor musical instruments and interactive equipment that invite exploration of sound, light and colour.

There is no prescribed way to take part. You can make sounds, experiment with the equipment, follow what takes your interest, or respond to somebody else.

When there is no wrong note and no wrong way to play, curiosity becomes creativity. Creativity becomes connection.

Evening Installations

Love the spectacle of fireworks, but not the loud bangs? The magic of Halloween, but not the fear? Christmas light trails, but not the glaring lights, busy crowds and feeling of being herded through?

We believe you shouldn’t have to miss out on magical evening experiences just because some parts don’t work for you or someone you love.

We create calm, magical immersive outdoor experiences where music and illumination respond to the people exploring them.

Research and Resources

Behind everything we create is a commitment to understanding what helps more people take part.

Our design decisions are informed by decades of lived experience, established research and feedback from the people we create for.

We bring all that knowledge together and share it openly — our own findings, established research, useful resources and the work of others who share our commitment to accessibility and inclusivity.
